Amsterdam has many colourful faces and places. You probably know about the 165 romantic canals with nearly 1300 bridges, the 600.000 (!) bikes, its famous nightlife and the beautiful flower markets. However, Amsterdam offers more. It has fascinating places of interest; historic monuments, arts and antiques in quaint quarters and fashionable, upscale products on chic shopping streets. Famous museums like the Rijksmuseum (with e.g. the Night watch by Rembrandt), the Van Gogh museum or the Anne Frank Museum bring take you back to the early days of the Netherlands. The canals are one of the most famous attractions of Amsterdam. Elegant mansions stand along the Herengracht, Prinsengracht and the Keizersgracht canals. Most of them built during the Golden Era and all of them are built on wooden pools. In the course of the centuries these houses have been renovated to meet changing tastes and while taking a walk along these canals you will see beautiful examples. |

Friendship concerts bring a guest choir with 2 –3 foreign choirs together and arrange international contacts and atmosphere for all participants. During the common concert, all participating choirs present themselves with a song to their choice in a concert hall in the centre of Amsterdam; the last common song is of course “Tulips from Amsterdam” in Dutch language. Individual concerts will be held in Amsterdam and surroundings to get the experience to sing for a real Dutch audience. Venues are like churches, concert halls and senior houses. The common concert is followed by a gala-dinner with music and an extraordinary buffet. This candlelight evening will be in the mind of the participants for a long time! If you extend your stay for one night, you have to opportunity to sing during mass in one of the nice churches in Amsterdam - for example the beautiful English church situated in the “begijnhof” in Amsterdam or you have the opportunity for several tours. |

| At the concerts in Alphen on the Rhine and in the Posthoornkerk in Amsterdam the choirs from Norway, Netherlands, Germany, Italy and Spain performed on a high level. A very special spirit rose, when all choirs sung “Tulips from Amsterdam” and the hosting choir Vox Humana presented tulips to everybody. The Farewell-Dinner with his culinary delicacies and the spontaneous singing impressed all participants. (Gesangverein Kembach, Germany) We have been very inspired…and thank you for the perfect organization…(Ladies Choir Society Cantemus St Ingbert, Germany) …the possibility to learn about country and people and to have nice contacts (Stadtchor Zerbst, Germany) was this concert tour an instructive and beautiful experience, for which we would like to thank you cordially … for the organization, the hotel, the good local support, the concerts and the warm welcome. (CANTAMOR Nieder-Klingen/Zeilhard, Germany) The weekend … was a unique experience. (Gesangverein Frohsinn Langgöns – Ladies- and Youth choir, Germany) We spent a marvellous weekend and want to congratulate you for the organization on this event (Ensemble Vocale La Cantilčne, France) |

With pleasure we will remember these three days, rich of experiences. (Police Ladies Choir Bielefeld, Germany) We have been delighted from the concerts in the Maranathakerk and in the Westerkerk. An Attentive and expert audience applauded furiously. (Fritz-Reuter-Choir Stavenhagen, Germany) The tour to Amsterdam worked very well. We had a lot of fun together with the other choirs at the concerts and the farewell-dinner. The hotel was very beautiful and perfect situated: Only a few steps from the centre and over the main station! The weather was beautiful and we could make all guided tours by walk. We hope that we can participate at further festivals of music & friends in the future. (Singtonia, Italy) Thank you very much for a very good, well organized Cantate Amsterdam last weekend. Kor Aktivum had a great experience. (Kor Aktivum, Norway) The meeting has been organized in the best way … unforgettably beautiful has been the concert in the Westerkerk and the farewell dinner has been outstanding. (Ladies Choir Kloster Oesede, Germany) |

(Gesangverein Schmalförden, Germany)Amsterdam has been a full success; till today we narrate about it … You are able to organize big events like this perfectly. We did not participate the last time at one of your events. (Choir Society St Bonifatius Limburgerhof, Germany). We experienced: A perfect organization in advance, during the event and afterwards. (Ladies Choir Niesky, Germany) Amsterdam has been TOP! (Ladies Community Choir Niederelbe, Germany) We participated at the third event of music & friends....Everything has been organized as perfect as usual!...what a big farewell dinner with a superb gala buffet...the concert at the Westerkerk with all choirs has been an extraordinary experience.
