Exiting concert venues at wonderful places, an international atmosphere and varied sightseeing - this is our frame for unforgettable choir events as a long time motivation for your choir. These international choir exchanges without the pressure of a competition are an excellent way to present your choir in an exiting setting to find new singers!

 

Advent Choral Festival Prague/Czech Republic

The “Golden Town” Prague is an exciting city with an old musical tradition. The Christmas market at the Old Town Square, one of the most beautiful places in Europe, the Prague Castle, concert halls and churches invite choirs from all over the world to enjoy the pre-Christmas time.

Beijing Choir Exchange

Coming up 2010! The Chinese metropolis with 15 million inhabitants organized the Olympic Games in 2008. The international choir meeting from 2010 will offer friendship concerts, a workshop to learn a simple Chinese folk song and a common concert of all participating choirs. Besides the guided tours in Beijing there will be offers for extensions in other regions of China.

Cantate Adriatica/Italy

The regions of Rimini/Riccione and the Republic of San Marino offer flair and tradition. This can be experienced particularly during the friendship concerts. With a stylish closing ceremony in the oldest republic of Europe, San Marino.

Cantate Amsterdam

Since 2005 this international choir meeting takes place in March in the capital of the Netherlands, known for its windmills, canals, cyclist and wooden shoes. Highlights are friendship concerts and a concert in the wonderful Westerkerk, followed by a farewell evening with all involved choirs.

Cantate Barcelona / Spain

In October the Catalan capital Barcelona and the Costa Brava are the right place for a meeting of choirs from all of Europe. Concerts open-air in Barcelona, friendship concerts at the Costa Brava and a final concert in Girona are followed by a farewell dinner with all choirs.

Cantate Bavaria/Germany

Munich is called as the “Capital with heart” - here music and culture are active all year around! This choir meeting at the end of March can also show you the beautiful spots in the surrounding.

Cantate Budweis/Czech Republic

The Southern Bohemian city Budweis is well-known for its beer – but it offers more: A medieval centre, attractive concert places and the city of Cesky Krumlov - an UNESCO World Heritage -  nearby.

Cantate Croatia

Coming up in 2009! Opatija, the oldest bathing resort in Istria, only a few kilometres far away from Trieste, is the centre of this international choir meeting. Carefully restored buildings, an impressive beach promenade, many parks and kilometre-long sand beaches offer recreation combined with culture and Croatian food.

Cantate Smaland/Sweden

5000 lakes between untouched woods, moose, lumber churches and crystal glass - this is the south Swedish Province of Smaland. The Swedes are celebrating the mid-summer, when the sun nearly never sets - together with you, if your choir joints this festival in the city of Växjö! Dance around the midsummer tree and learn typical Swedish songs and dances at this most important holiday in Sweden.

Choir Festival Paris/France

Already since 1994 the metropolis welcomes each January choirs from all over the world for friendship concerts and a gala concert in the UNESCO building. Completed  with sightseeing in this wonderful city and a canal cruise at the Seine river.

Choir Festival Vermont/USA

The "green country" north of New York offers a festival on the green meadow. This festival is initiated fundamentally by the Trapp family; their musical life was represented in a film and a musical "The sound of music". With extensions in New York, Boston or Montreal.

Charlston International Choir Festival/USA

Coming up in 2009! Between Washington and Florida, in the State of South Carolina, you can find one of the oldest European estates in America: Charleston, named after the English King Charles II. In April choirs from America and Europe will meet at this jewel of architecture with buildings from the 19th century and temperamentally citizens. Concert venues are manor houses, concert halls and churches.

New York City Choral Music Exchange

A new highlight in January: New York City with concerts in churches, friendship concerts and optional a visit of the biggest gospel-competition for choirs from NY. The exchange rates are lower than in the last years and NY is back again as one of the most exiting cities of the world.

Workshops Great Masters Prague

These workshops in Prague are  for ambitious choirs. Several choirs from different countries work out a mass together with a professional orchestra and soloists. The workshops ends with the common performance in the last evening. A great experience!

10 Years Advent Choral Festival Prague

Registrations from Australia and the USA are present already now. Each day more choirs from all over Europe decide to participate too.

 

Cantate Cordoba / Argentina

music&friends stopped its co-operation with the Cantate Cordoba in Argentina. In 2008 there will be the second cancellation of the whole festival by the local authorities because of financial problems. As these problems will go on in the next years, there is no perspective of this wonderful event.
