Transfer to New York City

Coach trip from Stowe to New York City (appr. 6 hours) through picturesque small towns of the northern part of the state of New York. After the arrival at the hotel, first tour with the guide. The dinner can be reserved in a near situated restaurant. After this, on request visit of one of the great Broadway shows.

Day 2:

Sightseeing at the „Big Apple“

After the breakfast guided tour: the Lincoln-Art-Center for almost 15,000 visitors. The Wall Street, the centre of the financial world, the New York Stock Exchange, Chinatown with its narrow streets and Middle Eastern business and the restaurants of the cosmopolitan Greenwich Village, the Central park as the green part of the city, and the heart of the town, the Times Square. The Statue of Liberty is the symbol the America's liberty and the Rockefeller Centre with Radio City Music Hall and the Museum of Modern Art. After a dinner break, there can be arranged a guided tour through the NBC studios, where some of the great TV shows are produced or a tour through the historical theatre, the Radio City Music Hall.

Day 3:

Sightseeing/Concert

Trip by coach and ferry to the Ellis island with the Statue of Liberty. On the Ellis island partial 2,000 immigrants entered daily the United States, the museum gives information about this time. At noon concert in one the central churches in Manhattan and afterwards leisure time. In the evening transfer to the South Street Seaport, where next to the pier many restaurants and business are waiting for visitors.

Friendship concert in a community in New York City, followed by a meeting with the members. The rest of the day is available for individual sightseeing or shopping.

Trip from Stowe through the mountains of East Vermont to New Hampshire. Arrival in Boston at noon and check-in in the hotel. In the afternoon first tour through the town with the guide. On request a dinner can be planned in a fish restaurant.

After the breakfast guided tour through the historical Boston: The Faneuil hall, which was donated to the town in 1742 by Peter Faneuil and which has been an important communication centre in the war of independence. It is the gate to the Quincy market: a collection of innumerable small stores and bistros, framed by street musicians and artists. After a lunch break's tour to the government building and the city hall, formed by I. M. Pei. The Old State House has been built in 1713. From the same period are the famous Saint Stephens church, a colonial church which is built by Charles Bulfinch, the Old North Church, a classical colonial building, mentioned in all history books of the country. Closely connected with the story of Boston is the Boston Common, mentioned 1634 as a pasture and a green refugium the middle of the town today. In the late afternoon you return to the hotel to prepare yourself for the friendship concert in the evening with a choir from Boston or one of the near situated coastal resorts. The dinner can be planned in a local restaurant.

After the breakfast tour to the Harvard Square in Cambridge. The place with its buildings, restaurants and business invites to a stroll. The campus of the Harvard University, one of America's most important universities with more than 100 libraries and many colonial buildings is nearby. In the afternoon visit of the interactive exhibition in the House of Blues. The roots of the American music like rock'n' roll are represented here up to the blues which declines until time of the slavery. After a lunch break's visit the Afro American's Museum in which the history of the African immigrants is represented, who reached Boston 1638 as slaves. Transfer back to the hotel and preparation for the evening concert in a local church. After the concert meeting with the community. The dinner can be reserved in a local restaurant.

After the breakfast visits to this dynamic town: Basilica Notre Dame, Mount Royal, church St. Joseph, Royal Bank Tower, Dominion square, Saint Catherine Street and the old town with the port. Lunch break in the old town. In the afternoon there might be a friendship concert in the Humboldt School in a suburb of Montreal and meeting with the pupils of this multilingual school which is taught in German, English and French. The dinner can be arranged on request in a restaurant. After this, on request visit of the planetarium with an interesting show

After the breakfast guided tour through the art museum in which works of art from all the world are collected. The European art collection's contains works of French artists as Picasso and Salvatore Dali and sculptures of Rodin. The collection of the Canadian arts is silver and wood work on the second floor is fulfilled with pictures and furniture from the earlier Quebec. In the afternoon transfer to the Erskine and American Church in the old town. After the rehearsal concert within the afternoon concert series of the church. After the concert stroll through the Eaton Centre, a net of underground shops. A farewell meal can be arranged on request in the evening.
