| More than 5000 years of history and culture – till today presents China itself a lot of superlatives: 1.3 billion inhabitants, the most towns with several millions of inhabitants, the largest economic growth and much more. You have to experience the metropolis Beijing (Peking) with its 16 million inhabitants and innumerable objects of interest like the „forbidden city" up to the ultra-modern sport and office buildings. Another highlight is the Inner Mongolian area, an endless steppe with nomads and riders with a very own tradition of singing. Individual round trips can be carried out too.The international choir exchange brings foreign choirs together with local hosting choirs. To gain inside the Chinese singing culture, there is a workshop, where all foreign choirs learn a Chinese folk song. A second Workshop obtains the singing culture of the Inner Mongolia. Beside guided tours many addition information will inform about the life in China: A show cooking of Chinese special food and a bonfire with Mongolian specialties. A very special experience for everybody! The package includes many guided tours, full board and a local guide of the partner of music&friends. |

| Day 1: |
Arrival in Beijing, welcome dinner and get-together cocktail. |
| Day 2: |
Full day sightseeing, in the evening friendship concert with the Youth Philharmonic Chorus of the China Conservatory. |
| Day 3: |
Guided tours in Beijing: Olympic sport centres. In the afternoon workshop with the choir of the National Grand Theatre. In the evening show cooking of Chinese dumplings, spring rolls and other special food. |
| Day 4: |
Visit of the Badaling Great Wall After the dinner transfer to the Beijing Western station and by train to Hohhot in the Inner Mongolia. |
| Day 5: |
Arrival in Hohhot, Guided tours and in the afternoon a concert with a local children choir. |
| Day 6: |
Excursion to the steppe. Show of Mongolian riders and tasting of special food. The workshop with the children choir is followed by a bonfire and Mongolian special food. |
| Day 7: |
Departure or extension in Shanghai. |

Flights: From all parts of the world, there are offered many flights to China - not only to Beijing, but in other parts of the country too. All local coach hire for transfers and the programme are included in the packages, which are offered by music&friends. We recommend to check the flight rates at the following companies: Hainan Airways, Air China, Air Berlin Extensions: Extensions are possible in Shanghai and other parts of the country and will be worked out individually. They can be planned before or after the Beijing festival and will include further concerts, guided tours and workshops. Ask music&friends for proposals and pricing - a long-term planning is necessary! |
