| The Adriatic coast of the region Emilia Romagna extends over one hundred kilometres sandy beach from the Po-delta to the mountains of Gabicce. One defines this region as a sea of events, meetings, traditions, kitchen and pleasure. The Adriatic coast is at day and night an open-air stage. Together with the excellent Italian kitchen is this the right combination for a meeting of music groups in a Mediterranean atmosphere. San Marino is the oldest republic of the world and is located between the Italian regions Romagna and Marken, only few kilometres away from the cities of Rimini and Riccione at the Adriatic Sea. Millions of visitors come up every year to San Marino to see the narrow lanes, the towers on the three rocks and to enjoy the breathtaking panorama from this natural rock terrace over the Adriatic Sea. The miniature state San Marino is rich to art, history and tradition and counts the most foreign visitors in relation to its population. |

During the day, concerts take place in the historical centre of the old part of town of San Marino. Each participating brass band has here the possibility for a concert in the oldest republic of the world. Further places for evening concerts are cities such as Riccione, Rimini or Cattolica at the Adriatic beach, which are 12 months in the year the holiday capitals of Europe. These open-air concerts take place on a typical "Piazza", close to the beach, where all people meet in the evening at typically summer temperatures and mostly beautiful weather. The farewell evening together with all participating music groups takes place on Saturday evening in a typical Ristorante, inclusive dinner with special food of the region, wine and music. Extensions are possible in Venice, Bologna or Florence. There are a lot of flights coming from all over Europe to this area and you can save money with a long-term planning. music&friends offers a drum set at the concert venues to minimize transport problems for the music groups. |

| The organising of the festival seemed really professional, and we felt well taken care of the whole stay. Having a reliable and professional person as our guide and interpreter was very helpful. We enjoyed all the events, and felt that the time schedule was roomy and allowed us just enough time both for festival activities and free time. Also, the weather was on our side, so living close to the beach was exploited to the greatest extent :-). Thanks for organising such a nice trip for us! (Nottreroy Marching Band, Norway) In the name of our association I would like to thank you cordially for the perfect organization. The varied program, which left nevertheless enough free time for own activities, has been approved by all participants. The combination of beach lives as well as the beautiful backcountry of the Emilia Romagna and San Marino and the excellent culinary offers on the wine estate as well as the Agriturismo exceeded our expectations. The concert venues in Riccione as well as in San Marino are very well selected. The public, particularly in Riccione, was very numerous and inspirable. Also the guiding by Sabine and Rosa has been very good; all suggestions have been taken up and converted. Please give both our special thanks. The bad weather and the strong wind did not damage the good general impression. We can recommend this trip… (Musikverein Meilen, Switzerland) |
