Programme: This is an example for the programme for your orientation. All choirs will get individually programmes according to their additional bookings.

Types of choirs This event is open for all types of choirs. By dividing the choirs to different friendship concerts, all level of performances can be respected.

Friday:

Getting to Smaland:

 
  • by plane to Copenhagen, Goteborg, Stockholm or Växjö. At arrival a guided city tour can be added to the program on request.
  • by coach travelling through Denmark and the Öresund Bridge or by ferry to Trelleborg. A guided city tour in Copenhagen or in Malmö could be added to the program on request. If you arrive late to Sweden you have to go directly to Växjö.
  • by coach or car directly to Växjö for Nordic choirs

    We recommend that you arrive in Vringstad not later than 16.00. Check-in at the hotel. Rehearsal at the hotel is possible. In the evening Friendship Concert for 3-4 foreign choirs and a local hosting choir. After the concert the choirs get together for a drink and the famous cheesecake of this region. Back to the hotel and overnight.

    Saturday:

    Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning we tour to the lovely city of Eksjö with 600 years of history and old wooden houses. Traditional midsummer celebrations and first short concert. After a light lunchreturn to the hotel. In the evening a closing concert will be held at a Concert Hall. Afterwards optional a gala dinner with entertainment.

    Sunday:

    Breakfast at the hotel and then return trip. For the choirs which have chosen to stay additional night(s), it will be possible to take part in mass or church service in Växjö or surroundings, and/or to add a nice boat trip with the old steamer Thor. In addition an interesting visit to a moose park could be arranged!

    Coach tour: Coming by coach to Smaland you have to calculate the distance and decide if you need an additional overnight on the way or two bus drivers. We can help you to find hotels on the way to Sweden.

    Extension: Planning an extension in Sweden, your choir might  enjoy a boat trip or a church on Sunday. Extensions are possible in Malmö, Stockholm or Copenhagen and further concerts can be arranged. Ask for our quotation, guided tours and concert venues. 

    By flight: Have a look to different no-frills airlines offering flights to Copenhagen, Goteborg, Stockholm and Växjö.
